The Family treats the need for maintaining a tightknit family unit, and covers such aspects as heritage, family rituals, and family support.
Beginnings emphasizes that you start with what you've got, and build on it. The three things you must consider are the child, you as a parent, and the environment within which you live.
Education emphasizes that the family unit is the basis for education, and that the school builds on that education. The problems of schools and the alternatives available to parents are discussed.
The Early Years covers the time from infant to the high school years with emphasis on how important are development of attitudes and a sense of responsibility in the family.
The Environment covers elements of the family environment, the school environment, and the eventual work environment. It addresses the need for the parents to both evaluate and attempt to control the environment to help their child. The tremendous impact of media on the child is considered.
Tools treats various sources of help available to the parents. Included, of course, are the schools. But many other tools exist - from simple toys to skilled mentors. And, of extreme importance, a Lifetime Plan.
The Lifetime Plan expands on that specific tool and addresses what it is, how it is developed, and transition of the responsibility for the Plan to the child.
Marketing Your Child covers many of the simple but overlooked aspects of raising your child in a civilized environment. Simple manners, ethics, a sense of responsibility - and certainly appearance. All which can be important to the child.
The How gets away from generalities to more specific actions the parent can take to raise a marketable child and to implement the Lifetime Plan.
The Big Wide World treats aspects of the existing external environment, and projects how that environment could change with the passage of time.
Problems treats a mix of difficulties which potentially could arise during the process of raising the child. The intent is to highlight potential problems with a view to preventing them, or to taking corrective action should they occur.
