PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT

Vote for One Party

Here in California we now have seven political parties to choose from. The more well known, The Democratic, Republican, and Reform offer Mr Gore, Mr Bush and Mr Buchanan (or Mr Hagelin, depending on who you ask), and the less well known, such as the Green and the Natural Law offer Mr Nader, Mr Hagelin (again)(he gets around a lot) and the others. The names appear on the ballot in an order chosen more or less randomly in Sacramento. I've reproduced the ballot here as it was given to me by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder in the official sample ballot.

The Peace and Freedom Party didn't qualify for the ballot this time around.  I guess they didn't get enough votes and / or registrants last time around.  They have a web page
that describes them as Alternative, Progressive, and Socialist.  I had always thought these were separate concepts, but apparently not from their point of view.

Less than a month to go to the election. Choose wisely.
