1926 American LaFrance
Fire Engine

Originally purchased by Pulaski, Virginia, this engine was in service there until about 1980.  It has been in private hands for the last 18 years.  It will still pump 1000 gpm and has consistenly won prizes for "First Draft" in Muster competition.

The vehicle is all-original, right down to the hand-crank siren, running lanterns on the rear uprights, and the equipment boxes on the running boards.  The wooden spoked wheels are mounted with pneumatic tires, apparently the first year for such a feature.

The '26 has a new home and will be moving from scenic Southeastern Pennsylvania to Sunny Southern California...  as soon as I can get it moved!
